Marshawn Lynch arrest details: Former NFL running back dragged out of car after police questioning

The arrest of former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch on Tuesday in Las Vegas is captured on video, in which he is shown being discovered in a vehicle that is "undriveable" due to numerous flat or missing tyres.

Lynch is heard telling the officers in the footage, "I'm not driving. The car isn't running.

Lynch "would speak and then fall back asleep multiple times throughout the meeting," according to a police report.

Lynch denied using drugs or alcohol, but he nodded when asked if he had stolen the car.

Lynch is warned to get out of the car by a police officer in the footage at one point or face an obstruction charge. Lynch is forced out of the car and sent to the police station if he doesn't comply.

Before the 7:30 a.m. arrest, Lynch is briefly shown in the beginning of one video appearing to be dozing at the wheel. Lynch repeatedly inquires as to the problem.

According to Richard A. Schonfeld and David Z. Chesnoff, Lynch's attorneys, who spoke to USA Today Sports, "Marshawn was not pulled over for a DUI." "Instead, the car was securely parked and not in use. When all the data is considered, we are sure that this won't qualify as a DUI in Nevada. Marshawn is grateful for everyone's care and assistance."

Lynch was accused of driving under the influence, failing to submit, swerving out of the way of traffic, and operating an unlicensed vehicle. His trial is set for December 7.

The 36-year-old played 12 NFL seasons with the Seahawks, Bills, and Raiders, among other teams.
